Shipping origin and preparation

All artworks are dispatched from Germany. Each original is inspected and protected for transport. Depending on dimensions, condition, value and destination, reinforced packaging or a custom art crate may be used.

Unless otherwise stated on the artwork page, preparation for dispatch takes [[DISPATCH_MIN]]–[[DISPATCH_MAX]] business days after contract formation and confirmed payment. Custom crating or specialist art transport may take longer; this will be disclosed before order or individually agreed.

Delivery restrictions and accepted payment methods are clearly stated no later than the start of checkout.

Shipping costs

Shipping charges are shown before a payable order is submitted. For large works, specialist transport or non-standard destinations, purchase is not completed until the collector receives and accepts an individual shipping quotation.

Insurance and transport risk

Insurance scope: [[INSERT_EXACT_CARRIER_AND_INSURANCE_SCOPE]]. Statutory consumer rules on transport risk remain unaffected.

Do not publish a broad “fully insured” promise unless the policy covers the declared artwork value, destination, packing method, exclusions and entire custody period.

Customs and import charges

For destinations outside the European Union, import VAT, customs duties, brokerage fees and other charges may apply.

These charges are not included in the displayed price and are payable by the recipient. The recipient is responsible for import formalities unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Alternative B — individually quoted Delivered Duty Paid:

Only where an individual quotation is expressly described as Delivered Duty Paid does the confirmed amount include the import charges specifically identified in that quotation.

Delivery inspection and transport damage

Please inspect the outer packaging and artwork promptly after delivery. If damage is visible, document where possible the outer packaging, inner packaging, artwork, shipping label and damage, then contact [[CLAIMS_EMAIL]]. This request does not restrict statutory defect rights or the right of withdrawal.

Returns following statutory withdrawal

Where a statutory right of withdrawal exists, the separate withdrawal notice and model form apply.

The artwork must be packed appropriately for its nature and value. Please use the original protective packaging where possible. This request does not restrict statutory rights; statutory rules apply to diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods.

Alternative A — seller pays:

We bear the direct return costs for a valid statutory withdrawal. Please contact us before return so that suitable insured collection can be arranged.

Alternative B — consumer pays:

You bear the direct return costs. For artworks which by their nature cannot normally be returned by post, direct return costs are estimated at no more than approximately [[NON_PARCEL_RETURN_COST_MAX_EUR]] EUR.

Defects and incorrect delivery

Statutory rights for defective or incorrectly supplied goods remain unaffected. Contact [[CLAIMS_EMAIL]] so that collection, inspection and further handling can be coordinated.

Voluntary returns

No voluntary return right is granted beyond statutory withdrawal and defect rights unless expressly agreed in writing for the individual case.
